This Privacy Policy explains how DictoEaso Inc. ("DictoEaso", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use DictoEaso applications, websites, and related services (the "Service").

1) Who We Are

2) Scope

This Policy applies to information processed by DictoEaso in connection with the Service, including mobile app functionality, support operations, and subscription entitlement operations.

3) Information We Collect

3.1 Account and Identity Data

  • Firebase UID and account identifiers
  • Email address
  • Sign-in provider metadata (for example, email/password, Google, Apple)
  • Verification and account-status metadata

3.2 Profile and Preference Data

  • Display name and avatar selection
  • Language and onboarding preferences
  • App settings and device/session-related sync metadata

3.3 Subscription and Entitlement Data

  • Entitlement state (for example, trial/paid/locked status)
  • Entitlement expiry timestamp (for example, pro-until time)
  • Billing provider indicators (for example, RevenueCat-synced billing source metadata)
  • Subscription sync metadata and event identifiers used for integrity and reconciliation
  • RevenueCat customer linkage fields required for subscription sync (for example, app user identifier based on Firebase UID and account email where available)

3.4 User Content and Learning Data

  • Custom deck content and related user-entered learning data
  • Transcript artifacts and summaries
  • Handwriting/recognition session outputs required for core features

3.5 OCR Image Inputs (Camera and Gallery)

The Service may process image inputs for text extraction in learning workflows, including:

  • photos captured with camera access;
  • images selected from your photo/media library;
  • extracted OCR text and your edits.

OCR is generally performed on-device for current workflows described in the app experience.

3.6 Device, Security, and Integrity Data

  • Device/app technical signals used for security and abuse prevention
  • App Check and integrity attestation signals
  • Minimal operational/security logs needed to protect and operate the Service

3.7 Billing Card Data Clarification

Payment card data is processed by Apple App Store and Google Play checkout systems. DictoEaso does not collect raw payment card numbers in-app.

4) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide and operate app features;
  • authenticate accounts and maintain account integrity;
  • enforce entitlement access controls and anti-abuse protections;
  • synchronize subscription state across devices;
  • process OCR and user-directed learning workflows;
  • provide support and respond to requests;
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

5) Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information with service providers and partners that help us operate the Service, including:

  • RevenueCat, as a subscription infrastructure service provider, to support subscription synchronization and entitlement reconciliation;
  • Firebase/Google Cloud infrastructure for authentication, data storage, and cloud operations;
  • Apple App Store and Google Play ecosystems for purchase, renewal, cancellation management, and refund/dispute processing;
  • legal authorities or counterparties where required by law or legal process.

For subscription synchronization purposes, we may share limited identifiers such as Firebase UID-based app user identifier and account email where available and necessary.

We do not sell personal information.

6) International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries outside your home jurisdiction. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

7) Retention

We retain data only as long as reasonably necessary for purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • account-linked data while your account remains active;
  • operational cooldown-window records used for abuse prevention and system integrity;
  • longer retention where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention/investigation, accounting, enforcement, or dispute resolution.

We do not commit to fixed retention days for every category because retention needs vary by data type and legal context.

8) Deletion Requests

  • You can request account deletion in-app.
  • Deletion removes account-linked data from active systems, subject to lawful and legitimate retention exceptions.
  • Deleting your DictoEaso account does not automatically cancel an Apple/Google subscription. Subscription cancellation must be completed in your store account settings.

9) Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.

10) Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users age 13 and older based on self-certification during onboarding. DictoEaso does not perform formal age verification.

If a user is under 13, use is only permitted where a parent or legal guardian creates/manages the account and supervises use, and where permitted by applicable law.

11) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards (for example, access controls, authentication controls, and secure transport). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11.1 Advertising and Analytics Status (As of Last Updated)

As of the Last Updated date:

  • we do not use ad SDKs for in-app advertising;
  • we do not collect IDFA/AAID for cross-app advertising tracking;
  • Firebase Analytics is not enabled in code;
  • Firebase Crashlytics is not enabled in code.

If these practices change, we will update this Policy before or at rollout.

12) Updates to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service or other appropriate channels.
